I Am Responsible
When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.
Service is not work – It’s opportunity.
Nothing insures immunity to that first drink more than intensive work with another alcoholic. There are many service opportunities available to help carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers and to strengthen the AA fellowship for those enjoying a sober life. Get involved today! It’s fun.. and it’s important.
More information about AA Service.
AA Members from District 70 have the opportunity to visit a detox unit on multiple evenings during the week and speak with residents. This is a great place to share your story with other alcoholics and help them on their path of recovery. Each AA member will share briefly about what it was like, what happened and what it’s like now. After each member speaks, the detox residents will have the opportunity to ask questions.
We visit on Monday, Wednesday, Saturdays at 7:00 PM

District 70 Service Opportunities – Committees & Open Positions
Get active in your sobriety and help carry the message to others by doing service work.
As is mentioned in the Legacy Of Service (download available from aa.org) Bill W expressed his concerns about the need for us as AA members to make sure we maintain service to carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic.
